Getting The New Year’s Started Right: Preventative Maintenance

Welcome to the new year! We are excited to have your attention as we highlight preventative maintenance in this month's blog! Preventive maintenance helps prolong your engine's life and prevent further damage that can lead to expensive repairs. More than that, it will provide peace of mind, knowing that we have dotted our "I's" and crossed our "T's."

At Antero Automotive, we want you to have a safe and enjoyable experience on the road. We selected some top preventative maintenance tips that we recommend you implement this year; so that you can depend on your vehicle to perform as it should. Read on and see our top preventative maintenance tips!

Tires: Having your tires rotated and tire pressure checked is crucial for preventative maintenance. During an inspection, the tire's tread is also looked at to ensure your tire has good life left on them before you head out on the road.

Wheel Alignment: Another essential point to consider is having your car inspected for a wheel alignment job. You can do this yearly, but it is vital to check it. We recommend having a wheel alignment job done after you rotate your tires.

Oil Change: Having your oil inspected and changed if needed is an important part of preventative maintenance. Your oil is what keeps the moving parts inside lubricated. Otherwise, these parts can overheat and break down.

Brakes: When planning preventative maintenance, don't forget to include your brakes! Your brakes serve as one of your vehicle's most important safety features. For that reason, you want to be sure your brakes are working correctly.

Spark Plugs & Fuel Injectors: While these are less frequent issues, it is a good idea to have your spark plugs and fuel injectors inspected. Your spark plugs perform the task of igniting a spark that starts the combustion in the engine. Your fuel injectors supply your intake manifold with fuel needed to burn during combustion. Both serve an essential role in your engine, which is why we recommend having these parts inspected.

At Antero Automotive, we aspire to provide excellent auto repair services and a welcoming environment for our customers. We know your vehicle is essential to you as it allows for accessibility to a method of transportation. This is why we want your car to be dependable and safe during your travels.
