Spring Cleaning for Your Car: Tips and Tricks

Spring is upon us, which means we can look forward to better weather, warmer and brighter days, and the blossoming of flowers. Unfortunately, we can also look forward to spring cleaning. As it is common to focus on your home for spring cleaning, we wanted to remind you also to include your car! You spend plenty of hours in your car every week, either commuting to work or simply getting around. In this month's blog, we want to give you some tips and tricks for spring cleaning done right.

While there is the option for a professional cleaning service that will save you time, we wanted to offer tips and tricks geared towards doing the work yourself. Yes, feel free to take your car to a professional cleaner, but if that seems a little out of budget, then continue reading for budget-friendly cleaning tips and tricks!

Car wash - a car wash is a way to have your exterior shining like it's new. It is usual for dust and mud to build up while on the road, but the longer you wait for a car wash, the more noticeable it becomes. We recommend having your car washed to bring your vehicle back to life!

Hand-held vacuum - A hand-held vacuum is one of the best investments you can make for your vehicle. This will allow you to spot clean any spill you accidentally make and give your car a freshen-up when you are going to have company with you.

Leather cleaner - If you have leather seats in your car, it is important to give them special attention and care. Look for products that clean leather while also applying a protective coating against wear from friction and sun. This will make your leather shine bright and make sure they last longer.

Tire shine - Another option for the exterior of your vehicle is your tires. Giving gloss to your tire and shine to your rims will be the perfect addition to giving your car the touch-up it deserves. Tire shine is also relatively affordable and can be applied right after your carwash.

Garbage can - More of an accessory to keep your car clean, a garbage can allows you to instantly gather your trash into one area for easy cleanup and take out. No more are the days of checking every spot of your vehicle for trash. All you need to do is take out the garbage can, and you are done.

Air freshener - Our final point in this list of cleaning tips and tricks is air fresheners! Some car owners eat in their vehicles, and food can leave a lingering smell. Or, on your commute home from the gym, your B.O. can also stink up your car. While both cases are normal, it can be unpleasant always to have them in your vehicle. To avoid this, we recommend applying an air freshener to keep your car smelling fresh and clean all the time.

We hope these tips will help you in your spring cleaning journey this month. But, it is important to note that while your car can be clean from the inside and out, you need to keep your engine healthy by having preventative maintenance done. Preventative maintenance prevents problems that can cost a lot of money and give you peace of mind when on the road. We welcome you to visit Antero Automotive at 6615 South Dayton Street, Greenwood Village, CO 80111!
