With all the hiking options in Boulder, the city life in Denver, and the not-too-far destinations of Estes and the four corners, you likely already have a packed list of summer activities. But did you know there’s a ton worth doing right here in Greenwood Village that won’t require a dog-sitter or a suitcase?
You Don’t Have To Go Far From Greenwood Village for Quality Family Fun
Planning vacations, day trips, and activities around your work schedule can be difficult. No matter what your cup of tea is or who is tagging along, there’s something to do this Summer here in or near Greenwood Village!
For hiking, camping, and outdoor activities: Cherry Creek State Park. For an action-packed day or even just an afternoon, you can visit this State Park right in the middle of the city for hiking, water sports, or beach lounging. There are picnic areas and even spots to fish! Cherry Creek State Park isn’t technically in Greenwood Village, but it’s far.
For date night: Fiddlers Green Amphitheatre. The roster for Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, which is right here in Greenwood Village, is incredible this Summer! 98.5 KYGO is having their birthday base, you can catch Boyz II Men with the Colorado Symphony, and the Backstreet Boys are coming to town! A night out with friends: 1Up Arcade Bar. How cool is it that we have a 1Up Arcade Bar right here in Greenwood Village? If you aren’t familiar with the concept of the OG 1Up bar, it’s part bar and part arcade. You can play classic arcade machines while sipping on a cool-themed drink or a beer all Summer long! For weekday fun: Landmark Theater. The Landmark Theater in Greenwood Village has $7 tickets on Mondays and Tuesdays, making it the perfect destination for a little bit of fun to start your week.
For the kids: Westland Park. If you’ve lived here a while, your kids probably already know and love Westland Park. This unique city park is over 25-acres large and includes a massive play structure, hiking trails, spaces to eat, and even some fields to play ball in.
One time only event: Greenwood Village Day at Village Greens Park. Mark your calendars! From 2 PM-10 PM on July 30th, celebrate Greenwood Village Day at Village Greens Park. There will be fireworks, entertainment, and the opportunity to hang outside with your community!
